Our Company

Edina specialises in the engineering, installation and after-care support of low carbon gas-fired Combined Heat and Power (CHP) plants, fast response balancing peaking plants and mission-critical standby diesel generation.

We employ over 200 staff across our international operations located in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and India, and collectively manage a growing portfolio of almost 1GW electrical distributed generation.

For over 35 years we continue to support the growth of decentralised low carbon power generation, helping businesses improve energy efficiency, cost savings, power resilience, and emission reduction as we collectively move towards achieving net zero.

We are currently looking for a Service Technician to join our team.
- Have a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent and have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant industry experience
- Hold a valid 200 TEM dongle
- Be a competent time served technician in a mechanical/electrical discipline.
- Be a competent technician with considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of gas engines.
- Have effective IT skills and competent in the use of Microsoft Office Packages.
- Hold a full current Driving Licence

**Main Purpose of Your Role**:

- To ensure efficient maintenance of all Gas Generators / CHP’s and associated parts.
- Participate fully as a member of the Gas Service Team.

**Main Duties & Responsibilities**:

- The upkeep and maintenance of Gas Generators / CHP’s on site.
- Responsible for the successful installation of new Gas Generators / CHP’s and associated parts.
- Successful completion of welding/fabrication work and implementation of pipe fitting.
- Troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Liaising with the Store Manager on all part orders for Gas Generators / CHP’s and associated equipment and compliance with Stores procedures.
- Responsible for reporting to the Service Manager on the operation of all Gas Generators / CHP’s and any issues with same.
- Cross - skill training of new staff.
- Ensuring compliance with the on - call system and ensuring effective response times are met.
- Ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and Company defined Health and Safety Procedures.
- To successfully complete all training as required and defined by the company to ensure effective and safe completion of your duties.

**Hours of Work**: Monday - Thursday 8.30am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.30am - 3.00pm

This role will involve weekend work and possible out of hours work. The role will require an extensive amount of travel.
