Location:Victoria, AustraliaCustom Field 1: Permanent Full TimeDescription: Energy Leader > Sustainable futureUpskilling & ongoing training > Attractive salary packageSupportive team environment that is internationally renowned for being subject matter expertsAt AusNet, we're the link between renewable energy sources and local communities, playing a key role in the clean energy transition and providing essential energy to every Victorian family.About the RoleAs a Power Technician Secondary, you will conduct a variety of diagnostic testing, calibration and reporting to both internal and external clients in relation to wholesale energy metering installations.This role will report to the Team Leader, Field Services and has a substantive base location at Yarraville, Victoria.This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:Conduct on-site diagnostic testing & calibration, on a wide variety of energy metering and measurement equipment within High Voltage environmentsEnsuring all necessary primary and secondary isolations are carried out correctly to ensure safe access to metering equipmentInstallation of permanent and portable metering equipment, ensuring it complies to Victorian Service installation rules and various Australian standardsAssist in the preparation of technical reports (to the various accreditation levels as required)Assist in planning daily workload of the Energy Metering group to ensure that equipment and personnel are appropriately utilised to maximise throughput & equipment turnaround timesConduct Audits and Inspections of High Voltage metering installationsComplete Electrical Safety Certificates for metering installation workYou don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:Advance Diploma of ESI Power Industry/ Experienced Electrical Fitter-Tester/ Experienced A Grade ElectricianRelevant knowledge relating to transmission and/or distribution network compliance testing methodologiesRelevant qualifications and/or applied experience in field of metering services or secondary systemsCurrent Victorian driver's licenceExperienced in testing and inspecting secondary electrical assets, current transformers, voltage transformers, secondary equipment (advantageous)Testing and commissioning of new metering assets systemsUnderstanding of Victorian Installation RulesSpecial Role requirements:Travel to various power stations and sub-stations throughout VictoriaOccasional interstate and international travel may be requiredA real place to belongWe celebrate unique voices, refreshing perspectives and diversity in our team.
