**The Role**
Your Role
The APS 5 Regional Fleet Manager Specialist Capabilities Officer is responsible for supporting materiel maintenance and regional fleet maintenance of current and future platforms. In addition to these core responsibilities this role assists with supporting military dependencies on repair/maintenance requirements and processes. Along with fleet management, they provide support on equipment availability and equipment rotations. Duties include preparing/processing documentation, managing and sourcing repair parts and interacting with local and central procurement agencies.
Procurement also requires requisite technical authority to ensure compliance within Defence land material regulations. As a result of relevant purchasing requirements, this position holds appropriate delegations to support inventory procurement of repair parts to support maintenance activities. They are the key interface with Defence organisations, trade repair agencies, industry partner maintenance services and customers. This role/function is an integral element to the overall maintenance services in Western Region.

- Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
