**The Role**
As the APS 5 - Facilities and Security Officer, you will be required under limited direction to perform and achieve complex estate and infrastructure management and protective security work within an integrated workforce. The APS 5 - Facilities and Security Officer is responsible for the day to day management and development of estate and infrastructure requirements for all Joint Logistics Unit (West) facilities. This position also includes the responsibility to interpret and provide complex specialist advice on physical and protective security needs of JLU (West).

This position requires considerable engagement and liaison with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all JLU (West) estate and infrastructure, security and operational needs are maintained and controlled, therefore excellent communication skills are essential. The APS 5 - Facilities and Security Officer will be required to undertake the preparation and presentation of security training and awareness sessions to JLU (West) personnel and Industry Partners, including specialist research and investigations on security issues.
