**The Role**
The APS 5 Product Schedule Manger - Marine is responsible for supporting materiel maintenance and regional fleet maintenance of current and future platforms. In addition to these core responsibilities this role assists with supporting military dependencies on repair/maintenance requirements and processes. Along with fleet management, they provide support on equipment availability and equipment rotations. Duties include preparing/processing documentation, managing and sourcing repair parts and interacting with local procurement agencies.
Procurement also requires requisite technical authority to ensure compliance within Defence land material regulations. As a result of relevant purchasing requirements, this position holds appropriate delegations to support budget allocation, and inventory procurement of repair parts to support maintenance activities. They are the key interface with Defence organisations, trade repair agencies, and industry partner maintenance services. This role/function is an integral element to the overall maintenance services in Western Region.
