Your new company will see you responsible for major transport construction projects.
The branch will develop an understanding of the existing and future transport task and will plan how this task will be met and managed by different modes, taking into consideration users' perspectives, land use and place and broader outcomes for Victorians. To do this, the branch develops and manages integrated transport corridor and network plans and strategies. These plans form the basis for the branch engagement with key stakeholders and partners including Council’s and the Victorian Planning Authority.

**Your new role**

The role will support senior team members in reviewing proposals (for example structure plans, land use plans, transport projects) which relate to the state transport networks. The role ensures that transport across multiple modes can meet the needs of Melbourne’s future communities, and also integrates with land use.

You will also:

- Contribute to the development of integrated transport plans and the transport priorities, support the preparation of corridor strategies, and changes to the roads networks that support all modes.
- Assist in the development of requirements for transport projects
- Represent the Department by engaging with senior management, Government, other Departmental divisions and external stakeholders, including the Victorian Planning Authority, councils, advocacy groups and community groups.

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be considered for this role you will:

- Hold tertiary qualifications in transport planning, town and regional planning, or a related field
- Experience in strategic land use and transport planning
- Relevant technical experience in transport or strategic planning, with exposure to issues concerning growth area planning
- Local government or State Gov experience is desirable
