Ideally, we are seeking an experienced and professional Strategic Planner with a passion for our urban/rural environment. However, if you are a graduate looking for an opportunity for growth and development, we encourage you to apply

Some of your core functions include:

  • Assess strategic land use planning applications including scheme amendments, structure plans, local development plans, subdivisions and clearances.
  • Apply relevant legislation and the State and local planning framework, in assisting residents, stakeholders and community organisations on strategic planning matters.
  • Undertake land use planning policy review and development to guide future growth.
  • Participate in the development of strategic council projects, including project management, stakeholder engagement and urban design.

Our preferred candidates will be able to demonstrate the following experiences and skillset:

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Commitment to excellent customer service.
  • View Planning as a function based upon collaboration with the community.

An annual salary of up to $87,975.00 per annum (dependent on skills and experience) will be negotiated with the successful applicant. Also on offer is the opportunity to work within a great team as well as some other fantastic benefits.
