A Quasi-Team Leader role that would suit those with growth area experience - either from strategic or statutory planning background.

**About the role**

This local council are wanting to find their next superstar Principal Strategic Planner who will be the 2IC to the Planning Coordinator within the Growth Area team. The chosen one for this role will be someone that can demonstrate leadership and technical growth area planning skills and experience.

Whilst working closely with the team you will be responsible for a range of projects and acting as a Quasi Team Leader to 3-4 direct reports. There’s a need for someone to advocate and drive council’s agenda on PSP. You will also be responsible for managing DCP/ICP associated with growth area development.

**About you**

Ideally, you will be an experienced Strategic Planner who is able to operate on a Band 7 level - with experience/knowledge of growth area planning. We are also open to speaking with Growth Area Statutory Planners who are looking for an opportunity to pivot into strategic planning.

**Salary and benefits**

This is a permanent role at a Band 7 level with a salary range of $102k - $114k + super. Council offers flexible working and hybrid working arrangements.
