Precinct Planner - Strategic Planner - Band 8
- Two year fixed term contract

Public Sector People are recruiting a Precinct Planner / Strategic Planner at a Band 8 level for a metro based council.

The role will be responsible for managing Council’s involvement in a a once-in-a-generation project to shape the future of Melbourne’s connectivity. You will be working in partnership with this Authority and the community to develop structure plans for each precinct.

The plans will include surface transport connections for all modes of travel, planning for business growth, and safeguarding and enhancing local amenity and liveability, consistent with the principle of '20-minute neighbourhoods' under Plan Melbourne 2017-2050.

Open to flexible working hours and part-time hours. This is a Band 8 role and a two year fixed term contract.

**Requirements include**:

- A tertiary or post graduate qualification in planning or related field.
- Extensive experience in precinct planning, urban renewal and policy development, preferably within a government environment
- Extensive experience in managing projects, including the preparation of structure plans and urban renewal plans.
