The Talent Acquisition Partner provides high level expertise and services in the end to end recruitment of leadership, senior, complex and hard to fill positions across the University. This position collaborates closely with senior stakeholders to understand the University’s talent needs and capability gaps, and develops effective and efficient recruitment strategies to support the attraction and recruitment of high quality applicants.
- Salary Package: Circa $138K neg. per annum plus 17% superannuation
- Appointment Type: Full Time Continuing
- Location: Macquarie University (Wallumattagal Campus, North Ryde); Hybrid

We have ambitious plans for Talent Acquisition at Macquarie, and the Talent Acquisition Partner will be a key expert and leader within the team, and will partner with the Head of Talent Acquisition to deliver expertise across all recruitment disciplines, and in the development and execution of the employer brand strategy and EVP.

The role will work with key leaders across the University and its entities to advise and deliver on executive, senior, complex and hard to fill talent requirements, and will be an expert in executive search and research methodologies. This role will also be a team mentor and provide expert guidance and advice to more junior TA team members to further develop internal recruitment capability.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Talent Acquisition you will:

- Develop and implement comprehensive talent acquisition strategies across a very diverse client base and seniority levels, balancing changing needs and diverse expectations.
- Partner with senior leaders, Hiring Manager and HR Business Partners to understand workforce needs, capability gaps and unique recruitment requirements.
- Build effective and productive relationships with internal stakeholders and provide timely, trusted and specialist advice, insights and recommendations to hiring managers on all aspects of senior level talent best practice;
- Provide specialist support to the Head of Talent Acquisition in the design, development and execution of the Employee Value Proposition and the Employment Branding strategies;
- Undertake recruitment research and executive search methodologies to proactively identify and target high quality talent;
- Utilising recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, proactively build and maintain a robust talent pipeline for current and future senior and complex hiring needs;
- Leverage data and analytics to measure the success and effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts;
- Utilise data and analytics to track key recruitment metrics and provide insights to improve efficiency and effectiveness of recruitment processes;

About You
- Demonstrable experience in delivering executive level and complex recruitment services (internal or agency).
- Able to develop deep, effective and credible relationships with senior leaders and partner on the recruitment of leadership, complex or hard to fill requirements;
- Able to organise and prioritise multiple and diverse recruitment assignments, and senior Hiring Manager needs.
- Portfolio management expertise and ability to challenge/influence/coach at the most senior level across the University.
- A high level of service orientation and meticulous service deliver across the senior recruitment lifecycle.
- Expertise in a range of recruitment sourcing tools (ie: LinkedIn Recruiter), applicant tracking systems (ie: Workday) and digital sourcing channels to attract and identify top talent.
- High standards and a strong continuous improvement mindset.
