**About the role**:
As the **Lead Regional Extension Officer** in our GippsDairy team you will provide effective leadership including coordination and support for the regional extension team of 5 as they deliver innovative, well planned and collaborative regional extension and education activities. This role reports directly into the Regional Manager, and there are also opportunities to link into our broader Regional Services team for support.

This role has a strong focus on working closely with regional networks, including dairy advisers and service providers, to ensure that dairy farmers and service providers gain knowledge and confidence from information derived from relevant, regional, state and national dairy Research, Development & Extension programs.

- Provide leadership and line management to Regional Extension Officers.
- Inform and promote regional and national priorities, policies and delivery of extension services on key technical themes.
- Ensure program delivery is aligned to priorities and industry targets and includes initiating the development and implementation of timely and relevant extension and support activities.
- Coordinate and implement plans and activities to ensure regional extension and education delivery is collaborative, effective, robustly evaluated and effective.
- Communicate timely and relevant information that ensures extension and education activities function well and are supported by strong and effective professional networks.

You are outcome driven and understand farming systems, farm production and the dairy industry. You can demonstrate experience in working with farmers in extension delivery and facilitation. We want to hear about your experience in initiating and developing partnerships with key stakeholders and driving projects from development to implantation and review.
