**About the Role**:
To realise our vision, it is essential we provide effective leadership and support to the dairy industry and deliver innovative, well planned and collaborative regional extension and education activities in dairy regions.

Joining our GippsDairy team in this 2 year Fixed-Term contract (.8 FTE), the role has a strong focus on working closely with regional networks, dairy advisors, service providers and Government agencies, to ensure that dairy farmers and service providers are well engaged in workforce capability and leadership extension activities and where relevant are kept up to date on regional, state and national dairy RD&E programs.

You will support the Dairy Australia strategic Goal: Attract great people to the dairy industry and build their capability and careers and foster a safe work culture.

Here are some examples of where you will make an impact.
- Working closely with and facilitating the engagement of internal and external stakeholders (including dairy farmers, advisors, educators, service providers) that shape the workforce demand and supply at the local level
- Strong engagement, empathy and connection with people to ensure activities function well, people have valid and timely information and networks are strong and effective
- Promotion & facilitation of workforce, safety and well-being programs across the region
- Ensuring dairy farmers have support for HR and Workplace Health & Safety issues within the business.
- Supporting the development and updating of resources to ensure current and relevant material is available to farmers in the region

Ideally you will be degree qualified in agriculture, human resources, business/commerce or a related field, or have a significant agriculture background and a practical understanding of Workforce, HR, Farm Safety and Wellness challenges and practices.
