**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic **Technical Officer **to join our **Prenatal department** at Macquarie Park. You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Coding of patient specimens in a timely manner
- Filing and processing of specimens in accordance with strict WHS guidelines
- Preparation and Maintenance of laboratory machines
- Recording key information and accurately doing data entry in multiple data bases
- Carrying out administrative tasks, such as troubleshooting issues, stock take and other laboratory tasks as required.
- Delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders in a fast paced health environment

- Open to working full time rostered hours Monday to Friday between 7:30 am - 21:00 and Saturdays, 7:00 am - 15:00
- Prior experience in a specimen reception and medical terminology knowledge is highly desirable
- Strong computer literacy and attention to detail with good time management skills
- A hard-working, motivated and reliable individual with a strong work ethic.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is a team player
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
