**Position description**:
We seek an enthusiastic **Scientific Officer (Health Professional)** to join our Haematology department** in Macquarie Park.** You will be an essential team member, and your responsibilities will include the following:

- Operating in a multi-skilled capacity in the disciplines of automated Haematology, Coagulation and Morphology.
- Providing specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner
- Conduct routine maintenance, troubleshooting equipment and identifying opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure quality compliance and standards meet regulatory framework

We are proud to say we have a learning and supportive environment, and full training will be provided. We are looking for the following:

- Open to working full time hours on a rotating roster Monday to Friday between 5pm and 1am and occasional weekend work.
- Graduated with a Medical Science Degree or recognised AIMS equivalent. You must be eligible for professional membership at the Australian Institute of Medical Scientists.
- Minimum two years’ experience in Haematology laboratory
- A hard-working, motivated individual with strong communication skills
- Highly knowledgeable in quality control techniques
- Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
- Strong attention to detail with good time management skills
