Assurance Lead

A
**full-time permanent opportunity** has become available in our Risk & Quality Health Services team, reporting into the Senior Assurance Manager. This is a
**hybrid** role and can be based out of our Melbourne, Sydney or Brisbane office locations when not working from home.

The Risk & Quality team is responsible for ensuring that robust system controls are in place which supports well-informed and timely decision making. This team supports Bupa’s ADF Health Services contract (ADF HS) and Bupa Medical Visa Services (BMVS) business units by performing and improving controls testing and assurance activities over key business risks and associated controls.

**How will I help?
Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

- Execute control testing activities in line with the control assurance framework
- Maintain assurance workpapers and related outputs on-time and to a high quality
- Support the business owners implement effective controls by providing robust feedback where required and making practical recommendations for improvement
- Maintain data in the GRC and utilise this to provide insights through regular (and on-demand) reporting.
- Support the development and upkeep of applicable assurance frameworks, standards, protocols and tools
- Use data to generate insights, recommendations and support continuous improvement of the business control environment
- Provide SME support and insights and assist with internal strategic initiatives

**What do I need?**
- Tertiary qualifications in business, risk management, or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in complex organisations or regulated industries or management consulting
- Previous experience in a risk or assurance role;
- Understanding of Enterprise Risk Management principles, including risks and controls, and the 3 lines model
- Ability to analyse / identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate actions
- Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems
- Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Good attention to detail, ability to work in a dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity.
- Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
- **This is a Security Cleared Position. The occupant must be an Australian Citizen and must be eligible to obtain and uphold a Baseline Security Clearance.**
