**About the role**

Reporting to the Senior Manager, IT Retail X Assurance, this position is responsible for delivery of assurance activities in Retail X. This includes assist the development of the Retail X overall assurance plan, executing fieldwork through controls testing & reporting, developing recommendations, and engaging with Retail X team.

The role may also be required to work with external consultants who may be hired to support controls testing activities and as required, this role may be asked to lead or support assurance activities outside the assurance plan requested by Senior Manager, IT Retail X Assurance.

Key responsibilities include
- Perform controls testing across Retail X business. This includes:

- Assist in the development of assurance plan & approach
- Conducting fieldwork to accurately identify control gaps and inefficiencies, and appropriately describing the risk, root cause and consequence of these
- Preparing concise, insightful and value adding assurance reports/summaries, and
- Assist Retail X Assurance team in providing advice to key stakeholders in formulating appropriate corrective actions
- Support in the delivery of the assurance plan.
- Establishes and maintains effective and constructive relationships with Retail X - at e-specs or Customer Operations Leads (COLs) peer-to peer level. This includes gaining the respect of peers, being seen as a trusted advisor, and delivering quality assurance activities.
- Effective communication to key stakeholders on assurance requirements. This includes articulating assurance requirements in a simple and effective manner

**About you**

You will demonstrate previous experience working in large, highly regulated organisations, including experience in providing risks & controls or assurance support at a BU level. Strong communication, interpersonal and influencing skills are essential to the role and you will have the ability to work well in a co-sourcing arrangement.

- Ability to identify opportunities for improvement and proactively collaborating with stakeholders to implement change
- Enthusiastic and self-motivated who can work independently, creatively and analytically in problem-solving environments
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with professional certification highly desirable (CA/CPA/CIA)
- Strong report drafting, analytical skills, time management, and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
