We are currently seeking a Systems Assurance Lead to join our team in Melbourne.

**About the Role**:
The Systems Engineering Lead will provide expert leadership in ensuring that all project designs and deliverables meet operational and maintenance requirements throughout the project lifecycle. You will guide technical reviews, manage requirements traceability, and ensure systems are designed for reliability, functionality, and operator-led outcomes.

Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

- Leading the review and approval of design submissions to ensure O&M needs are met
- Ensuring operational and maintenance requirements are captured, traced, and maintained across all work packages
- Managing changes to requirements and tracking impacts on design and O&M functionality
- Validating interface requirements between rail systems and operational tools (e.g., CMMS)
- Supporting audits and reviews to ensure compliance with internal processes and standards
- Reviewing verification, testing, and validation outcomes to ensure systems meet O&M expectations
- Acting as a technical lead during cross-functional design and integration workshops

**About You**:
You are a skilled systems engineering professional with strong experience in requirements management, operational integration, and configuration control. You thrive in complex, multidisciplinary environments and have a track record of delivering safe, reliable, and compliant systems. Key experience and attributes include:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
- 10+ years’ experience in systems engineering and requirements management, with 5+ years in rail
- Skilled in requirements management tools, such as DOORS NG
- Strong understanding of engineering standards, safety assurance, and rail operations principles
- Experience integrating subsystems to achieve overall system performance
- Familiarity with safety assurance artefacts, RAM cases, and advanced risk assessment methods (FTA, ETA, RBD, State Modelling)
- Experience with configuration management and managing changes to design requirements
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, working effectively across technical, operational, and safety teams
