**Description**:
We are working with Logan City Council to source them a Local Laws Officer for a 6-month opportunity.
As a Local Laws Officer, you will be serving the community and maintaining or improving public health, safety and amenity through investigations of breaches of legislation and local laws.
Key responsibilities will include:

- Conduct inspections and investigations into alleged breaches of relevant legislation and local laws.
- Issue correspondence, directions, compliance notices and Penalty Infringement notices (supported by evidence) for breaches of relevant state legislation, local laws and subordinate local laws and ensure effective follow through to final outcome.

Essential Experience required:

- Experience in navigating and interpreting State legislation and local laws.
- Experience in undertaking investigations, and determination of appropriate compliance or enforcement responses.
- Experience in delivering quality customer service including communication of complex information into simple concepts to facilitate customer understanding, manage expectations and achieve results.
