Talent International is working in partnership with a **government department** to assist in sourcing an experienced **Land Use / Town / Transport Planner** to work in a Travel Demand Management team.

The role is responsible for coordinating and preparing land use and transport planning advice to planning authorities and private developers for land use planning and development proposals, particularly Green Travel Plans submitted for transport route consideration.

**To be successful in this role you will**:

- Ensure that land use development does not compromise network safety or efficiency objectives and identify appropriate measures to resolve potential conflicts.
- Liaising and negotiating with State Government (transport, environment, and planning agencies), Council officers, and public and private organisations.

**Key Requirements**:

- 2+ years' experience a similar planning advice role e.g., "town planner" within local council / transport / government
- Prior government planning legislation / Urban planning experience / exposure
- Knowledge of relevant NSW Government planning legislation and the Roads Act 1993, with the ability to understand and apply.
- Demonstrated experience in integrated public transport and urban planning and/or development
- related traffic impact assessment
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or experience in town planning, land use planning/assessment, transport planning, engineering, environmental science, or another appropriate discipline.
