**Land Use Planner - NSW Government Department**
- **71 week Contract**:

- **Location: 231 Elizabeth Street, Sydney NSW / WFH**:

- **Pay Rate: $600.00 - $700.00 per day + Superannuation (PAYG)**

**About the role**
The role is responsible for coordinating and preparing land use and planning advice to planning authorities and private developers for land use planning and development proposals, particularly Green Travel Plans.

**Responsibilities**
- Ensure that land use development does not compromise network safety or efficiency objectives and identify appropriate measures to resolve potential conflicts.
- Ensure the relevant stakeholders understand the requirements for land use plans and development consents by liaising and negotiating with the staff, State Government, Council officers, and public and private organisations.
- Work collaboratively with other regions to build a consistent approach to land use planning assessment and management.
- Contribute advice for the development of strategies to integrate existing and future land uses as part of infrastructure and services.

**Requirements**:

- Must have knowledge of relevant NSW Government planning legislation
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications and/or experience in town planning, land use planning/assessment, engineering, environmental science or another appropriate discipline.
