Urban Development Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Urban Development Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning and development, with excellent analytical and communication skills.

The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the long-term land use vision for the area. This includes work in strategic planning and statutory planning areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development and implementation of the long-term land use vision for the area
  • Contribute to the overall effective operation of the Environment and Planning department
  • Work closely with planners to develop and implement plans and policies

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or hold a degree in Town Planning or equivalent
  • Understanding of the NSW planning system
  • Interest in contemporary planning issues
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks effectively
  • Computer literacy skills and ability to operate computer-based systems
  • Professional approach, including attention to detail and courteous attitude
  • Ability to work in a team environment and take initiative
