**About the Role**:We are looking for a customs specialist to join our team. In this role, you will support MPD import& export needs in ANZ from trade compliance perspective working with relative partners, also support PSD customer TSC portal data uploading to their system, to support ASEAN customs urgent needs per business requirements.

This role will be located in our facility in Sydney, Australia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Work half - half on trade ops and trade compliance, majority for MPD in Australia& NZ and very small for PSD in Australia
- Connect with business side (Customer Service Team, D&L Coordinator, Sales Operations, PS), to understand business requirements, transfer business needs into GTT (global trade team) capabilities
- Coordinate local customs events (such as: inquiry, inspection, audit), also well prepare working or documents with relative functions
- Provide instruction and guidance to broker or 3PL with completed information for import declarations to Government authorities. Make sure our service provider also meet Gore trade compliance requirements, also involve local broker service contract negotiation, Proceed some payment working with relative functions (such as: brokerage service fee)
- Classify the product and maintain the tariff code & description in TA (Trade automation) system for finished goods, Determine and assign ECN (export control Number) to the Export control product in TA (trade automation) system when needed
- Determine customs value for import shipments, calculate the customs duty or FTA duty in the import when it applies. Identify COO (country of origin) and import license per business needs
- Support finance etc. on GST account set-up or daily payment handling during importation process if needed, Problem solving for Customs entries, inspections and discrepancies in price and quantity
- Maintain and review/renew the import / export operation process and guideline, file customs entry declaration, manage recordkeeping appropriately and manage precision system from trade perspective (such as: shipping documents accuracy)
- Monitor the trade compliance regulation change and Provide trade compliance training to relative functional team, mitigate or reduce trade compliance risk through conduct “internal audit, or external audit, or x-check process etc.” approach
- Upload customer portal data -50% time (for PSD Korea customer TSC portal data and ASEAN trade compliance support needs): include packing list data (such as: order qty, weight, dimension, country or port, PO# etc.) and customs invoice data (such as: date, invoice amount etc.)

**Required Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years experiences in import, export and trade compliance relative
- Good knowledge and experience in AEO and Export control
- Deep knowledge in import and export regulations, Incoterm, Origin Regulation; Customs Preferential program (FTA, EPA, RCEP)
- Solid knowledge and experience in Classification and valuation (Broker license preferred)
- Good relationship building and communication skills required for interface with various parties internal and external
- Passion for problem solving and strong analytical skills (i.e., root-cause analysis, developing and evaluating options, etc.)
- Fluent communication in English (Spoken & written)
- Business sense, data driven and passion on data management, proactive working style and team player
- Ability to travel up to 5% per business needs
