**About the role**:
CSR is looking for an experienced and innovative **General Manager Transport Operations**to oversee and enhance our multi-modal transport operations. This is your opportunity to lead a high-performing team, drive safety and service excellence, and drive strategic plans that -generate real value whilst enhancing our customer's experience.

Some responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- **Operational Leadership**: Manage national transport operations across road, rail, and sea, ensuring customer expectations are met and business continuity is maintained.
- **Strategic Innovation**: Develop and execute transport strategies that enhance existing foundations and drive competitive advantage to support growth.
- **Team Leadership**: Build, lead, and develop a collaborative, high-performing team that thrives on accountability and continuous improvement.
- **Carrier Partnerships**: Lead contract negotiations, manage carrier relationships, and implement flexible, cost-effective solutions.
- **Safety & Compliance**: Champion a safety-first culture, drive compliance with OH&S, COR, and regulatory standards, and lead industry-best practices.
- **Financial Oversight**: Manage budgets, control costs, and track benefits to ensure operational excellence and strategic alignment.

**What you bring to the role**
- **Qualifications & Experience**: Degree in logistics, supply chain, or business with 10+ years in senior transport operations leadership.
- **Proven Results**: A strong track record of delivering strategic and tactical transport improvements that deliver new solutions to enhance safety, service, and efficiency.
- **Leadership Skills**: Inspirational leader with experience managing diverse teams and fostering collaboration across business units.
- **Change Maker**: Expertise in change management, driving innovation, and implementing sustainable solutions.
- **Commercial Acumen**: Skilled in budgeting, financial analysis, and negotiating carrier agreements.
