**The Role**:
The Events Manager is a newly created role and will be responsible for delivering a range of events including events and field trips for donors, and TNC presence at external corporate events. The Events Manager will be responsible for designing and executing TNC Australia’s events strategy and program while working in collaboration with Philanthropy & Engagement, Marketing & Communications and Conservation teams to leverage events for donor stewarding, profile building, and stakeholder engagement purposes.

The Events Manager is a critical contributor to the way TNC builds relationships with its donors. The role provides support across both the Marketing & Communications and Philanthropy teams to develop and maintain trusted donor relationships with high-net-worth individuals and large corporate supporters through engagement and offering experiences that connect them to TNC’s projects in order to garner support for our conservation work.

The role works closely with marketing and communications colleagues to design events collateral and tell the TNC story in a compelling and engaging way. The Events Manager will create project plans and sets timelines to develop and manage event execution. A big part of this role will be to work on planning and delivering on Country field trips which is an incredible unique opportunity.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Responsible for delivery of annual program of events highlighting TNC’s conservation program to a range of supporters
- Working closely with the Donor Communications Manager and Development team in creating annual program of donor events
- Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Strategy, Marketing & Communications Director to deliver on external events engagements that profile TNC and TNC leadership
- Develop and implement event-related initiatives that contribute to stewarding priority donors
- Works closely and collaboratively with the members of the Marketing and Communications team, conservation team members and colleagues from Asia Pacific and global teams
- Works within budget to complete projects
- Operates within TNC’s Standard Operating Processes and communicates these processes in a clear and informative way to internal audiences
- Manages expectations, timeframes and pipeline of events with stakeholders
- Works with suppliers, vendors/other parties to execute events
- Role requires flexibility to travel, working long and flexible hours, as needed;
**Skills & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in related field and minimum 5 years’ professional experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Understanding and working in the NFP
- Proven track record of successfully designing and implementing annual program of in-person and virtual events
- Ability to take an event brief, determine resourcing and timing requirements, and engage with content experts to craft an outstanding attendee experience
- Understanding and familiarity with technology to facilitate virtual and in-person events experiences
- Ability to manage broad group of stakeholders, communicate priorities and requirements to internal audiences
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage stakeholders’ expectations
- Experience delivering multi-day, field trip type events, including OH&S responsibilities
- Experience designing, managing and executing multiple events in time sensitive environment;
- Experience negotiating agreements
