Manage a team delivering a high caseload of forensic cases, ensuring adherence to established protocols and timelines
- Allocate and manage resources in line with business and strategic plans
- Coordinate backlog cases and court dates, ensuring timely and accurate allocation of tasks
- Track progress and provide regular updates on case management activities
- Lead and manage a team to deliver high-quality outcomes in line with organisational objectives and ensure legislative, administrative and professional standards are met
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and effective communication
- Adapt to urgent operational needs and adjust priorities accordingly

**Note**: This short-term position may not require direct DNA laboratory experience. While scientific knowledge or experience is required, a specific focus of the short-term opportunity may be coordinating multiple teams with large case loads and delivering outcomes, rather than personally delivering case interpretation results.
- Proven experience in case allocation and coordination, team leadership, or laboratory management
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Demonstrated leadership qualities and the ability to motivate a team
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in science, forensic science, applied science or relevant field from a recognised tertiary institution.
- Knowledge of contemporary forensic sciences professional standards, service delivery requirements.
