**About the role**
Funded by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and delivered in line with evidence-based best practice, the Early Childhood Approach (ECA) is designed to provide a range of flexible and responsive supports for children under 9 years with developmental delay or disability. ECA focuses on family-centred practices and supports greater inclusion for children by building on family strengths and growing the capacity of mainstream and community services to support children with developmental delay or disability.
A new and exciting opportunity has become available due to growth in our Early Childhood Approach program. As a Deputy Manager, you will work alongside two other Deputy Managers leading Team Leaders to provide high quality, consistent practice and service delivery, to ensure the ECA team provide excellent service to children and families engaging with the program. This role will also support the Manager in adhering to all of ECA’s requirements as a Partner in the Community for the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIA).
**Duties**
- Provide clear and focused leadership, supervision, debriefing, practice support and guidance to Team Leaders with varied background and experience.
- Coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery
- Effectively lead change resulting from the NDIS review and Disability Royal Commission
- Support the Manager with the collection and analysis of data to evaluate and report on quality service delivery and drive continuous quality improvement actions.
- Work closely with other stakeholders including the Manager, to evaluate learning and development solutions to build capability of the Team Leaders
- Work with Team Leaders to help them understand and achieve performance expectations, as well as providing recognition and building their own capabilities, ensuring improved client outcomes and increased employee engagement
- Ensure compliance with standards and statutory requirements by staying updated on early childhood intervention knowledge and NDIS Legislation, sharing learnings to improve team practice
- Develop and maintain effective relationships and networks with relevant community partners, supporting the Manager to maintain a strong sector and community profile

**Skills and Requirements**
- A tertiary qualification in Human Services or a relevant field
- Strong experience in a people leadership positions, and utilising coaching skills to build Team Leader capability and embed quality practice
