Have you been working in the logistics / freight forwarding environment and looking to move beyond the just the warehouse floor? Perhaps your current role lacks the challenges in this space you seek?

We are looking to fill an exciting new role with our client, a fast paced, major operator in the Logistics services and Freight Forwarding market. This role is located in Riverwood at the Sydney Logistics hub of a business which operates from 42 offices around the globe. Commencing in 1993, the business now provides everything from warehousing and storage solutions, mail fulfillment, domestic and international express freight to courier services both domestic and international.

The Operations Officer will be responsible for the coordination of the daily import/export activities across all transport modes (air/road/sea) in accordance with local and international regulations and organisational policy and procedures. Indicatively, this will necessitate:

- That all necessary paperwork necessary export / import paperwork (Security Declaration, Chain of Custody, etc.) for the lawful execution of all import/export activities is completed
- That all cargo reporting is done as per Australia Customs requirements
- Liaise with airlines, transport companies and overseas agents to ensure collection/delivery of freight to/from the airlines, etc.
- Completion of Customs formalities (EDN, CAN, Formal Import Entry, SAC) as well as documents for same
- Ensuring all customs charges are correctly invoiced

This is a fast paced environment and, at any stage, most everyone will get in and do what's required. That may well see the Ops Officer running a local delivery if need be (class C licence) or helping on the warehouse floor.
- Compliance of Dangerous Goods by Air Certificate
- AACA Training
- Manual Driver's license

Any exposure to _Parcel Perfect_ and Cyberfreight would be an advantage.
