Warehouse Supervisor

Operating over twenty years, our client is a leading true end to end warehousing and distribution operation. With services ranging from storage, contract picking and packing, 3PL distribution as well as freight forwarding and customs services, it offers the full distribution package to its clients from its NSW Department of Health certified warehouse in Riverwood.

An opportunity has arisen for a hands on, self-driven warehouse supervisor to join this specialist company. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this role will primarily focused on managing and mentoring the small team of 10 - 15 floor staff so as to ensure the efficient and safe functioning of the warehouse on a daily basis while ensuring standard operating procedures and guidelines are followed. A key part of this will be identifying and providing training for staff as well as identifying and providing solutions to any problems encountered in day to day operations. The business is very customer focused and an important part of the role is the building of relationships with existing and new customers as the latter come on board.

Then there are the day to day tasks of every warehouse which the supervisor will also help to carry out in supporting the floor staff: picking, putaway, high reach and counterbalance forklift operation, helping to unload containers both by hand and with a forklift, stocktakes, etc.

To be considered for this role the successful applicant will have:

- A minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Current LF Forklift License (High Reach experience is required)
- Be physically fit & able to lift items up to 25kg
- Proven people management and leadership skills
- Experience with WMS systems
- Intermediate to Advanced Computer Skills
