**The organisation**

Our client, MobileMuster, is the product stewardship program of the telecommunications industry and is accredited by the federal government. It is voluntarily funded by the major handset manufacturers (Apple, Google, Samsung, etc.) and network carriers (Optus, Telstra, TPG) to provide a free mobile phone recycling program in Australia to the highest environmental standard. The program is committed to raising awareness and educating the community on repair, re-use and recycling.

MobileMuster is managed by The Australian Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA), the peak body and trusted voice of Australia’s mobile telecommunications industry. AMTA delivers economic, environmental, and social programs on behalf of its members to deliver positive change for a mobile enabled future for all Australians.

**The role**

The Program Lead is a critical role within the MobileMuster team and is responsible for managing the overall operations of the program extending through to stakeholder management, risk and compliance through to regulatory policy and guidelines.

This role will be responsible for maintaining key relations with stakeholders within the collection partner network, suppliers, and government. Additionally, you will be responsible for the end-to-end operations of the program and accountable for overall operational efficiency.

The Program Lead’s, successful leadership will result in the expansion of the program through developing and implementing process improvements and building strategic relationships with new members, with an opportunity to grow the program.

Responsibilities include:

- End-to-end management of the collection channels with a focus on priority channels to deliver strong brand awareness and meet annual collection targets, ensuring that the majority of product collected is in scope for the program.
- Executing and implementing the broader annual work plan to ensure the program meets its key performance indicators as an accredited scheme under the Waste Reduction and Recycling Act.
- Act as escalation point for any feedback from collection partners, suppliers, or the public.
- Working closely with the broader AMTA team to achieve operational excellence.
- Act as 2IC to the Head of MobileMuster (during periods of absence). The Program Lead will take on an interim management role with the support of the AMTA CEO.

**About you**

You are enthusiastic about recycling and environmental sustainability. Professionally, you have a comprehensive operational knowledge of program management and/or solid channel management experience. Organised and methodical, you are process driven and have the strong ability to analyse, identify and proactively address key operational issues, with an ability to implement improvements.

You are used to interacting with a broad range of stakeholders. You work hard at building strong relationships and understand that this is the key in meeting performance indicators. Whether it’s implementing and managing commercial agreements, investing in strategic partnerships, or promoting brand awareness, you prefer to work collaboratively and it’s just how you’ve always done business.

A natural self-starter, you are ambitious with a positive outlook, who enjoys getting involved. With a strong desire to deliver outcomes, you are thirsty for progress and achievement. You have proven success developing and growing programs and understand how to use your influence for good.

In addition, you will have:

- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar operational role.
- Experience in managing CRM systems through to implementing process improvements.
- Experience within recycling and/or the telecommunications industry and its programs would be an advantage.
