As a **General Service Officer** with us, you will play an important role within our facility. The provision of these services aim to enhance the residents lifestyle, the staff working environment, and visitors contact with Buckland.

- Have previous experience working in a cleaning, kitchen and/or laundry department
- Deliver quality service to a high standard and demonstrate respect for the elderly
- Have good communication, interpersonal skills and able to accept direction
- Have knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety principles
- Ideally have experience working in the aged care sector - **However not essential**:

- Ideally have completed a certificate in food safety - **However not essential**:

- Have their own transport or live locally
- Have strong organisational and time management skills
- Be proactive, flexible and willing to show initiative
- Be able to work effectively as part of a team
- The right to work in Australia, NDIS Worker Clearance and Covid-19 vaccinations

**Duties of the position**:

- Preparation, presentation and delivery of food and beverages
- Cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, waste management, restocking of supplies, cleaning and sorting laundry
- Washing dishes, cleaning dining areas and equipment according to Infection Control protocols
- Maintaining stock inventory
- Unpacking and sorting stock delivery, including the safe storage of chemicals and perishable goods
