To assist with streamlining processes and workflow, Lifest is now looking for a Rostering Officer.

**Purpose of the role**:
The rostering officer will be an integral part of the service delivery provided by Lifest. The core responsibilities will relate to the accurate and timely creation and distribution of employee rosters while monitoring and identifying risks to the organisation and staff, particularly overtime and potential staff burnout. The Rostering Officer will not only create the rosters but also oversee any changes that are required through each working week.

**Key duties and responsibilities will include**:

- Ensuring that all participants are allocated maximum support hours per their NDIS Plan
- Ensuring that all participants have the correct staff ratio per their NDIS Plan
- Ensuring any participant feedback is considered when rostering staff on shift (keeping in mind demographics around age, gender and common interests)
- Updating all relevant rosters in the event that a participant cancels their shift(s)
- Ensuring permanent staff are rostered according to their contracted hours
- Ensuring all staff leave is considered to ensure sufficient staff shift coverage
- Responding quickly and efficiently to all roster changes to ensure continuity of care for all participants
- Actioning all rostering enquiries from staff during business hours
- Adhering to best practice rostering as it relates to strictly monitoring staff hours to avoid overtime hours and observing mandatory rest periods and thinking critically about driving distance between participants to avoid unnecessary milage
- Assisting with LHC “On Call Service” as required
- In conjunction with management, monitor any staff restrictions as it relations to Visa Restrictions, return to work specifications and general changes to availability
- Providing accurate data to the payroll department as needed
- As required, run reports and interpret data to create the most efficient rosters for all teams and or monitor and advise when funding is running low
- Take direction from management as requested

**Core Knowledge**
- Knowledge of the NDIS Support Model
- Understanding of NDIS Funding
- Core knowledge of Rostering Principals

**Education & Experience**
- Previous experience in a rostering role essential (at least 12 months)
- Previous work experience with an NDIS service provider held in high regard
- Previous understanding of NDIS Participant Funding
- Relevant industry qualification held in high regard

**General skills**
- Superior attention to detail
- Highly organised with strong problem solving skills
- A self-starter who can work efficiently without supervision
- Punctual, flexible, reliable, trustworthy, and professional at all times
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Teams & Outlook) and other industry technologies (i.e. Rostering systems)
- Reliable, competent and trustworthy

**Salary**: From $33.00 per hour
