The opportunity

As a Manager within the Group Regulatory team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our organisation complies with various regulatory requirements. This role is designed to provide you with an introduction to Regulatory Risk management while offering a clear path towards expanding your responsibilities into advisory and strategic roles as your experience grows.

Your new role

This role contributes, as part of a team, to building and maintaining a constructive relationship with QBE Group’s global prudential regulator the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority (APRA), and ensuring QBE fulfils all regulatory obligations within time frames and scope, including:
- Providing responses to the regulator on behalf of QBE and associated entities,- Proactively keeping aware of changes to the regulatory environment; and- Ensuring systems, processes and education practices are in place to ensure compliance with regulations and informed stakeholders. priorities.

This role manages regulatory correspondence, visits, reviews, meetings, and other supervisory activities to ensure QBE manages its Regulatory Risk. In this position you will also be responsible for executive stakeholder engagement as part of APRA meeting with QBE’s accountable executives.

About you

- Expertise in regulatory affairs, interpretation, and compliance management.- Proven problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.- Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building abilities.- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.- Analytical mindset with high attention to detail and systematic approach.- Team-oriented, adaptable under pressure, with initiative and independence.
