**About the team**
This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in a newly created role as a Manager, Regulatory Reporting within our Banking and Financial Services division. In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a difference, challenge the status quo and support Business stakeholders uplift processes and maintain a robust regulatory reporting control environment.
As a Regulatory Reporting SME, you’ll bring knowledge of, and a genuine interest in regulatory reporting, and be a highly motivated and organised individual with strong interpersonal skills. You will be able to demonstrate success in prior roles within financial institutions or a Big 4 institution, demonstrate your knowledge of regulatory reporting and EFS and be looking for opportunities to take the next step in your career and expand your skillset.
You will play a significant role in supporting our team to enhance data management and analytics capability across the APRA reporting function and meet increasing regulatory and business-driven needs.

The new team has a strong growth mindset seeking to build a centre of excellence across multiple regulators and work with product to understand reg reporting implications and develop product features accordingly and/or provide advice to business on how to change products and develop strategic solutions to meet regulatory requirements.
**What impact will you have?**
In this diverse role you will be challenged daily whilst being part of a team that supports flexible working arrangements to suit your needs outside of work. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the review of balance sheet and statistical deliverables for external stakeholders including APRA, RBA and ABS
- As a Manager within the team, you will also have the opportunity to collaborate, engage with and nurture working relationships with senior level stakeholders across the group and will have regular and frequent communication with the offshore finance team.
- You will be responsible for ensuring successful transitions of new regulatory returns to business-as-usual processes and your role will involve identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, process improvement and efficiencies.
- You will rely on your existing knowledge of controls and management of risks associated with APRA reporting and EFS in this role to enhance current processes. You will regularly engage and consult with internal stakeholders including data teams, business units, IT and risk management teams.
- Partnering and building strong relationships with a variety of senior level stakeholders across the Banking Financial Services and the wider Macquarie group including Group teams, Product, Data, Technology and risk management teams
- Embedding processes to transition new change requests/projects to business-as-usual activities
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for automation, process improvement and efficiencies, through Product teams engagement and working with new technologies and platforms
- Initiate and drive continuous improvement in the Reporting processes
- Keeps up-to-date with new and evolving reporting requirements, regulatory standard changes and the banking industry changes as a whole
**What skills will you use?**
Your technical skills and qualifications will include:
- CA qualified and 5+ years’ post-qualification experience in the financial services industry within Banking and Lending space
- Previous experience and knowledge of regulatory reporting is desirable
- Knowledge and a passion for data, reporting and analytics in a control environment
- Strong relationship building, communication and stakeholder management skills will also be paramount to your success in this role.
Finally, you will:

- have tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance
- have exceptional communication skills
