**About the role**

Our Head Office in Tomago is currently seeking a Trades Assistant to join the team

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will see you working alongside experienced Plant Mechanics, Boilermakers and Auto Electricians to produce a high-quality output and a safe working environment. As a Trades Assistant, working in our Component Rebuild Centre, you will be involved in; disassembly, cleaning and inspection of CAT engines, movement/storage of plant and equipment, carrying out minor maintenance and repairs and other miscellaneous tasks.

Roster: Monday to Friday shifts on a day/night rotating roster.

**Essential Criteria**:

- Mechanical aptitude & interest in the heavy industry
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork and communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to Safety and Quality Assurance
- Able to work competently unsupervised
- Positive, can-do attitude

**Desirable Criteria**
- Previous experience in a similar role in a mechanical industry
- Welding qualification or experience will be highly regarded
- Current forklift license is desirable
- Current Dogging license is also desirable
