We are currently seeking Trades Assistants to join our successful workshop team based at our new purpose built facility in Hope Valley.

The role will report into our Workshop Supervision team with standard hours of 6.00am - 5.30pm Monday to Friday, Saturday work also available.

As a Trades Assistant you will support our workshop to ensure we deliver a quality product to our client in full and on time. This will include:

- Providing support to the team as required to complete work activities
- Performing daily pre-start checklist on vehicles to ensure they are fit for operations
- Using the Forklift to transport steel across the yard and onto the loading bed
- Operating a variety of tools including grinders, power drills and other cutting or shaping tools as required to complete assigned tasks
- Loading and unloading of pickups and deliveries
- Assisting the Workshop Manager to manage the workshop stores and consumables

**What you need**

You will ideally have experience of working within the Steel industry with the following:

- Forklift ticket
- Drivers Licence - current and valid
- Overhead crane experience or relevant ticket
- Dogman and riggers tickets would be very highly regarded
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Solutions focused, always working to execute the defined task with quality and precision in a timely manner
- Ability to work effectively as a team

This will initially be a casual role with the opportunity for permanent. We are seeking individuals who are available for an immediate start and who are able to commit to ongoing work.
