If the answer is yes, our General Workshop is currently seeking multiple Trade Assistants to support the assembly, cleaning, and inspection of CAT equipment. In this role you will work alongside experienced Plant Mechanics, Boilermakers and Auto Electricians to ensure a high quality of output. You will also be involved in the movement and storage of plant equipment, carrying out minor maintenance tasks and repairs. This opportunity will allow you to undertake additional training that will see you upskilled to complete duties beyond the scope of what a Trade Assistant would generally complete. This role is an excellent entry point into the Heavy Industry and will act as an excellent steppingstone towards an Apprenticeship

**Essential Criteria**:

- Mechanical aptitude and interest in the heavy industry
- Excellent interpersonal/teamwork and communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to Safety and Quality Assurance
- Able to work autonomously
- Positive, can-do attitude
- Forklift Ticket
- Previous experience in a similar role in a mechanical industry (desirable)
- Welding qualification or experience (desirable)
- Scaffolding experience (desirable)

**Roster and Remuneration**:
**Monday - Friday (rotating days/nights)**
- Roster Pattern: 2 weeks of days, followed by 2 weeks of nights. Day shift: 0600-1630, Night shift: 1600- 0230
- Hourly Rate: $35.52 OT: $53.28 (paid when you clock over 50hrs e.g. 4x 12 hours shifts Mon-Thurs, you would click in to OT after your first 2 hours on the Friday)
- Annual: $92,352 (before super) $102,048 (with super)
