HR Officer Administrator

The HR Officer Administration is responsible for providing pro-active administrative
services and support within the Remuneration and Employment team and the broader
Human Resources Services.
The role provides effective internal quality customer service and contributes to the
implementation and delivery of administrative processes and systems.
A key focus is guiding an environment of continuous improvement and the promotion of a
customer service culture within the Remuneration and Employment team to:
- Assist with supporting all remuneration and employment activities within Council,
including providing direct support to management and employees,
- Assist with the provision and production of Council’s payroll and remuneration
activities and functions, and
- Assist with supporting business monitoring through the development and
implementation of systems and processes for the delivery of the Human Resources
Service.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
**1. Proactively advise and respond to employee and management enquiries as well as
acting as the initial escalation point for HR/Payroll enquiries. These could be in person,
higher grade pays, superannuation, deductions, and other documents.
3. Assist Payroll Officers in the provision of an accurate, timely and customer focused
production of Council’s payroll and ensure all relevant internal and external
responsibilities are met.
4. Support and assist the administration in the end of pay, end of month and end of year
activities; and assist with the archiving of documents into the document control system
(Content Manager).
5. Assist HR Analyst with position establishments and data integrity activities ensuring
accuracy, compliance, updates and improvement of data and systems.
6. Provide administrative support to the Program Leader Remuneration and Employment
and the broader HRS team, including photocopying, minute taking and distribution,
invoicing and other duties as required.
7. Participate and assist the Remuneration and Employment team with the coordination
and management of any HRS projects, eg: Health & Wellbeing, Remuneration and
Benefits Framework
8. Update, administer and monitor the HR information system, the employee self service
and other related systems and ensure data entry accuracy, approve leave in ESS and
9. Collate and provide monthly HR Helpline and payroll operational statistical reports to
the Human Resources Service about service delivery and team activities.

**Workplace Health & Safety**
