**The Role**
As a Tourism Infrastructure Program Coordinator, you will play a leading role in designing, delivering, and coordinating tourism infrastructure funding programs in partnership with key stakeholders.
You will help to shape the strategic narrative for tourism infrastructure programs and provide influential advice to Ministers, departmental senior executives, government stakeholders and other key community and industry stakeholders on a range of infrastructure policy and development issues.
**Key accountabilities include**:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of tourism infrastructure grant programs delivered by the branch, with a focus on stakeholder engagement, best practice project and grant management, governance, and the delivery of program outcomes on time and within budget.
- Lead the identification, development and resolution of policy, procedural and financial issues in relation to grant programs.
- Prepare and present high quality influential advice on complex issues and risks to the Minister, Secretary and senior leadership on matters relating to the government's tourism infrastructure programs and strategies.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including program governance structures, to negotiate and influence outcomes that achieve business objectives.
**The Team**
The position of Tourism Infrastructure Program Coordinator will work across the Tourism and Events branch, which sits within the Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group.
Sport and Experience Economy (SEE) group is comprised of Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), Tourism and Events (T&E) and Outdoor Recreation (OR).
Sport and Recreation Victoria (SRV), within the Department of Jobs, Skills, Industry and Regions (DJSIR), manages several investment programs that seek to increase participation in community sport and recreation by maximising the delivery of outcomes most aligned to Victorian Government objectives and those within Active Victoria.
**About You**
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and experience:
- **Program Management**: Extensive experience in developing, formulating, implementing, and administering complex and innovative programs and initiatives, with a sound understanding of Government program management and procurement processes, engagement, governance, risk, probity, and confidentiality requirements.
- **Influence and Negotiation**: Gains agreement to proposals and ideas; Builds behind-the-scenes support for ideas to ensure buy-in and ownership; Uses chains of indirect influence to achieve outcomes; Involves experts or other third parties to strengthen a case.
- **Stakeholder Management**: Identifies issues in common for one or more stakeholders and uses to build mutually beneficial partnerships; Identifies and responds to stakeholder's underlying needs; Uses understanding of the stakeholder's organisational context to ensure outcomes are achieved.
