The role is full time permanent with a rotational shift across 5 days ( Saturday work maybe be required )

An exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic production Manager. The production manager will be responsible for building and managing a diverse and high performing team to ensure the teams meet daily delivery of Quality, Productivity. This role will manage leadership in a face paced environment.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead a team of strong and passionate employees to maximise team potential and outcomes
- Maximise engagement and efficiencies
- Review of packaging and artwork die lines for domestic and export / work with management to achieve sustainable packaging options
- Ensure compliance with all site requirements to maintain a safe working environment for all staff on site
- Lead and manage operations within the teams
- Oversee all aspects of the production process and demonstrate a hands-on management style in a food manufacturing environment.
- Manage and monitor the direct and indirect production personnel ensuring production is carried out efficiently and compliant with WHS, food safety and
- quality requirements.
- Draft, review, and implementation of operational, health and safety and plant cleaning procedures.
- Lead the production team in preparation for quality, food safety and regulatory audits.
- Provide assistance in root cause investigation for internally reported non-conformances and customer complaints.
- Take responsibility for the implementation of proposed corrective actions to prevent the reoccurrence.
- Provide feedback on training needs, ensure staff availability for induction, refresher, and annual training as per plan.
- Supervise and ensure preoperational, X-ray and other process control checks are performed as per defined frequencies.
- Conduct on-the-job training of staff for operation, changeovers, and cleaning of machines.
- Ensure smooth changeover, to avoid mix-ups between the different SKUs & packaging.
- Ensure compliance to FSSC 22000, dairy safe, Woolworths and Coles requirements.

Skills and Experience:

- At least five years in dairy production supervisory roles
- Specific experience in dairy is essential.
- Must be a food technologist.
- Must have Tertiary Qualification as a Dairy/food technologist
- Must have 5 years’ experience working a dairy manufacturing butter and cheese site
- Effective communicator at all levels in the organization.
- Team player.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Results-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Must be able to work on a rotational shift and weekends as per production requirements

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Afternoon shift
- Day shift
- Evening shift
- Monday to Friday
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- Weekend availability

**Education**:

- Bachelor Degree (required)

**Experience**:

- production manager: 5 years (required)

- Australia (preferred)
