To establish partnerships for ongoing funding for Planetary Health and for the
establishment of a Community Foundation to reduce disaster risk.
To work with the Planetary Health Team and all sectors of the community, in the Blue
Mountains and Lithgow, to develop Hyperlocal Communication Platforms, and a Planetary
Health portal, that will grow Connection to Community and Country, and share stories of
solutions for reducing disaster risk and restoring planetary health.
To coordinate and assist in the development of innovative Learning Programs for the Blue
Mountains Planetary Health Pluriversity that will engage the wider community, and
especially young people, in learning how to create better systems that support planetary
health and reduce disaster risk.
To monitor and evaluate the above programs.

businesses, Blue Mountains and Lithgow
residents, the Lithgow Transformation Hub and
Lithgow Council
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- To support the Senior Lead of the Blue Mountains Planetary Health Initiative and the
Planetary Health Team to deliver an 18-month grant-funded program pioneering
systemic change through community water management initiatives, neighbourhood
communication platforms, and co-designed place-based accelerated research and
learning to support disaster risk reduction for planetary health.
- To support the development and strengthening of relationships with key external
partners and stakeholders to provide ongoing funding for the project and to assist the
community to fund disaster risk reduction solutions.
- To map out and identify ways in which the City of Blue Mountains and the Council are
already implementing actions that reduce disaster risk, and to work with a Consultative
Research Group and Peer Review Panel to identify best options to reduce disaster
risk going forward, including to guide programming for Pluriversity learning programs.
- To promote and coordinate the delivery of Pluriversity programs
- To work with the Planetary Health Team and stakeholders to develop monitoring and
evaluation programs for the project.

**Workplace Health & Safety**
Ensure compliance with WHS obligations and responsibilities as outlined in Councils
policies and procedures and under the relevant WHS legislation. These include but are
not limited to: identifying potentially unsafe situations or work practices and notifying your
Supervisor or Manager (or the Health, Safety Manager/Area Safety Representative);
never performing a task that you believe is dangerous or for which you do not have the
experience, or have not received appropriate instructions and training or where the correct
equipment to carry out the task safely is not available; always work in a safe manner and
in accordance with safety instructions, where applicable; use the work equipment supplied
for the job, in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions), and any personal
protective equipment, which the Council deems necessary and has provided; be safety
aware and report any actions to your line manager which will assist the Council to meet
its legal workplace health and safety obligations.
You have the right to cease or direct cessation of unsafe work. In addition you are required
at all times to comply with Councils Asbestos Management Plan and Policy.
