We have a Cleaning Manager, permanent full-time position at our Salvation Army THQ Redfern.
This role will contribute to the effective operation, environment, and mission of Redfern Territorial Headquarters (THQ), by ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene of the building is maintained. This role leads a small team of cleaners and is responsible for assigning shifts and maintaining a pool of casual cleaners to meet the cleaning needs of Redfern THQ.
ABOUT THE ROLE
You will be responsible for:
- Cleaning Services: Ensure the cleanliness of Redfern THQ in accordance with the Cleaning Supervisors checklist. Ensure chemicals and other domestic products are stored safely and securely to meet the relevant MSDS guidelines.
- Leadership - Lead the team of Cleaners in providing a professional cleaning service to Redfern THQ
- Administration - Stock control of equipment, chemicals, rosters, and operations administration
- Assist Facilities Management Team with ad hoc requests such as provide access for contractors as required and log work orders for minor repairs
- Willingness to undertake Fire Warden training
ABOUT YOU
To be successful in the role, you will have
- Minimum of 6 months experience as a cleaner
- Supervisory experience in a similar role (desired)
- Knowledge of Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) regulations and storage of chemicals
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under time pressures
- WHS -knowledge of work health safety obligations and to practice these in the workplace in line with TSA policy & procedures and legislation
- Physical fitness and capability of responding to overall work demands is required
