**About the Role**

We are looking to hire Full-Time and Part-Time prefferable, with potential for Casual support workers for Male clients in the Mirrabooka area and surrounds. The role of the Support Worker is to work with clients within the NDIS funding framework, assisting them to achieve their goals and increase their independence and participation within the community. You will provide support to people with disability and/or psychosocial needs, enabling them to undertake all aspects of daily living including hoisting and personal care. You will also promote and demonstrate positive behaviours, learning experiences and skill development for clients.

**Preferred Experience**

The key needs of the clients we are currently hiring for are those living with physical disabilities, these clients will work best with males and occasional females who are able to help them with their daily needs and care, you will also need to enagage with various community services or in the home, providing them with adequate assistance in keeping their lives full and interactive in waking hours. These men would like to be involved in all aspects of their care and day to day life, including participating in meal planning and cooking, daily activities and hobbies and their personal care. This preference would require support workers who are used to dealing with challenging behaviours and assistance in day to day living, and are adept at assisting the clients with their full attention at all times.

**Key duties include**:

- Taking clients out for social outings and activities, shopping trips or GP/specialist appointments.
- Providing Personal Care
- Domestic duties and meal preparation/eating assistance.
- Challenging behaviour management
- Potential Bowel Management, AD Management, Medication, Insulin + Blood Sugar Level Management

**Skills & Experience**

As well as the above skills, the **Key Requirements** include:

- NDIS Worker Screening Check and Introductory Module Completion
- National Police Clearance (within the last 12 months).
- Manual Handling Certificate
- First-Aid/CPR Training Certificate
- Proof of working rights - Passport, Visa, Citizenship
- Covid-19 Full Vaccination Certificate
- Valid West Australian driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
- Working with Children Check issued in Western Australia.
- Experienced with challenging behavior
