The Opal People Safety and Culture team are excited to present a new role within the team for a General Manager HR Business Partnering Australia. You will hold a key role in the HRLT giving thought leadership on the design and delivery of the People Strategy and its alignment with business plans and the overall Opal Strategy.

This role focuses on partnering with our EGMs and CPO to support the transformation of our business and help propel our organisation forward. As a skilled coach and consultant, you will lead your team to become strategic business partners, supporting the growth and development of leaders at all levels of the business, growing talent and succession for sustainable performance and guiding the creation of a recognized and envied Opal culture and way of working for the business to be truly successful.

You will contribute to the success of Opal by:

- Thoughtfully driving the delivery of our People Strategy so that we deliver our transformation mandate, and ensuring our leaders feel fully partnered and supported in their performance and pursuit of success for the business.
- Coaching and leading the HR business partner team in Australia and grow their strategic development within the HR transformation model.
- Supporting the transformation of our organizational culture through the development of targeted initiatives
- As a member of HRLT, actively participating in shaping and embedding our new HR strategy and model across our function by providing thought leadership and insights that will help us achieve our transformation

- Experience of leading through HR transformation
- Deep expertise and experience in the development and delivery of HR strategy with proven track record of designing contemporary HR strategies
- Organisational change and transformation expertise, ideally having achieved accreditation in a methodology
- Strong commercial and business acumen demonstrated through alignment of people programs and outcomes
- Extensive experience influencing, advising and challenging senior leaders
- Strong ability to navigate through complexity and ambiguity
- Innovative and strategic thinking, with the ability to bring colleagues and stakeholders along on the journey
