**This was meant to bean ad about recruiting a new Account Manager for our Newcastle creative agency. As the writer who was lumped with the task of creating it, I thought there were some things you should know first.**
The brief said to mention how we’re looking for an energetic and passionate Account Manager with 2+years’ experience. And how we’re an independent, 30-year-old, full-service agency with 85 staff and offices in three locations. There was other important stuff I was meant to include as well, but let’s face it, you can find out all about us by just looking at our website. As I’ll be part the wide team of people you’ll be working pretty closely with once you get the job, I thoughtI’d let you in on a few things I wish I’d known before I started here. To start with, Enigma is full of nice people. Seriously. We’re kind of like a big family, if a family was a group of people who were paid to work with each other.
There are some who have been here for over ten years, which in the advertising world is equivalent to about17,382 years. For you though, it should be a good sign that people like it enough to stay here, and there’s plenty of opportunity to grow and work your way up.
In your new role, you’ll spend your days running a number of clients and integrated projects with support from your Group Account Director. No two days are the same at this place - and there are a growing list of interesting clients to sink your teeth into and creative opportunities to explore.
Lastly, this is a place with huge ambitions. We don’t do dull or ordinary. We push ourselves and our clients to make famous work that gets shared, talked about and remembered.
You and the role:
Working in our Newcastle office, you’ll report directly to the Group Account Director. This role will run and support projects across campaigns through the line, from creative development through to delivery of assets to media. You’ll be working closely with our strategy, creative, media and production teams to deliver great work across all channels, and your project management, organisation and financial skills will be second to none. Ideally, you’ll have a couple years agency experience, but most of all you’ll be passionate, great with clients & ready to jump straight in on campaign delivery.
