**_UX Designer _**

Join Michael Hill’s International digital team in this newly created UX designer position. Reporting to our UX Manager and working from our brand-new purpose-built support centre in Cannon Hill (with work from home days), you’ll be delivering and designing online user experiences that delight customers and ultimately lead to higher conversion rate and customer satisfaction. This role works collaboratively across agile teams to bring a human-centred design approach to both online initiatives as well as continuously looking to improve existing features.

**_About The Opportunity:_**
- Design and prototype digital interactions and interfaces in line with the usability and accessibility requirements.
- Use iterative approaches to rapidly incorporate user feedback into designs.
- Test ideas and concepts with relevant research and trial these assumptions in the market
- Prepare and test the UX/UI with users to validate UX/UI recommendations, improve processes and increase integration of functionality and capability.
- Design, organise and communicate shared design assets and visual style guide. Prototype real customer solutions using these assets.
- Design and enhance user experience across all initiatives and create design solutions
- Research and test usability to continuously improve customer drive and alignment
- Enhance and maintain our design systems consistently across all sites and pages

- Understanding of Human-Centered Design and the activities that sit within the toolkit
- Ability to scope and define approaches, together with effort and resources required
- A positive can-do attitude and integrity in decision making, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency and timeliness in carrying out all duties
- The ability to communicate complex concepts in plain language
- A reliable and flexible approach to workload and deadlines
- A collaborative and respectful approach to dealings with colleagues, customers and suppliers
- Continuous drive to understand latest trends

**_Your Skills: _**
- Experience with eCommerce, mobile first framework and operating systems (iOS, Android etc.)
- Strong experience in end to end execution from insight and concept to go live
- Demonstrated capability partnering with Product Owners and developers in cross-functional agile teams
- Experience with analytics platforms, ie Google Analytics, Hotjar.
- Experience using tools for UX / UI and visual design, such as Sketch, Adobe CC and Figma.
- Experience with creating or contributing to design system
- Strong wireframing / prototyping skills
- Tertiary qualification in Multimedia Design, Interaction Design or User Experience Design
