The UX/UI Designer, an essential member of the Design & Experience team, will take responsibility for the ownership, management, and enhancement of our Design system. Additionally, they will lead various design projects involving our digital assets such as the website, e-commerce platform, and app.

This position plays a pivotal role at the crossroads of Product, CX, and Technology functions. Operating within a company offering a range of 10+ products and services across multiple channels, this role holds significant importance in effectively managing and advancing our Design System.

This is a great role for a mid-level designer to join a team where they can be mentored as well as help bring up junior designers Ideally, someone with 2-3 years of UX/UI experience (heavy UI) that would love to become more well-rounded on the UX side

Your day-to-day:

- Take charge of managing and advancing our design system, ensuring it encompasses end-to-end functionality with relevant componentization, documentation, and development.
- Develop and execute a schedule for auditing and enhancing their digital experiences, aligning them with the new component library.
- Collaborate with the broader Design team, including developers, QA's, and Design/Experience Leads, to generate ideas and design interfaces that seamlessly integrate with the Design System ecosystem.
- Adhere to UX/UI best practices, such as Apple HIG (Human Interface Guidelines), Google Material Design, and WCAG (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines), to maintain the highest quality of components.
- Generate concept wireframes and detailed designs, working closely with your team to ensure successful implementation.
- Engage in collaborative component design efforts with other UX/UI designers when necessary.
- Collaborate with the business to assess and analyze the performance of experiences, identifying opportunities for further optimization.
- Design exceptional experiences, both within and outside the Design system, starting from ideation and wireframes, all the way to final design and prototyping.
