The purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive and detailed support to a legal team, focused on resolving disputes with early, timely and personal service to workers, employers, providers/stakeholders and family/support networks. This will be undertaken whilst providing an empathetic customer experience through a deep technical specialisation in complex claims within a legal team.
This position works in a deadline driven and fast-paced environment where people are passionate about helping others, with a focus on customer service and support to all stakeholders to provide pro-active, tailored, timely and effective management of specialised claims.
This will be a **permanent** position commencing **immediately **based in the **Adelaide** office, with flexibility to work from home.
**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Pro-actively proceed with appropriate case management to achieve the optimum outcome of early dispute resolution.
- Liaise with all internal and external stakeholders regularly to progress strategies and actions.
- Develop strong customer relationships and provide a high level of customer service to all parties including workers, employers, providers/stakeholders and families/support networks
- Work effectively as a member of a team and actively demonstrate the EML values and culture on a consistent basis
- Assess aspects of liability and recovery relevant to the legislation or policy,in accordance with EML procedures if required
**ABOUT YOU**
- Inquisitive and always looking for effective ways to solve problems
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills and the confidence to speak in front of groups
- The skills to influence and negotiate
- The ability to collaborate and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience within a legal environment is desired but not essential
Whilst an understanding of workers compensation legislation and previous dispute or mediation experience is advantageous, it’s not essential - we’ll support and teach you all you need to know
