The purpose of this role is to effectively manage and resolve dispute matters and to identify and support improvements in our technical competence and evidence-based decision making across the business. This role will ensure technical advice is provided to effectively support EML’s business model in accordance with the relevant legislation, legal precedent and RTWSA instructions. This position will require a high degree of collaboration with Claims Services and Systems & Innovation business units to ensure the highest levels of technical competence and service is achieved and maintained.

This will be a **full-time **position commencing **immediately **based in the **Adelaide **office, with flexibility to work from home.

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Actively seek to resolve matters at the Reconsideration stage and identify actions to be undertaken by the Claims Specialist/Mobile Claim Specialist
- Participating in meetings with Claims Specialists and Legal Providers to review disputes and provide progress updates
- Ensure instructions to RTWSA’s Legal Panel are provided in a timely and appropriate manner, including consultation with the appropriate team members
- Manage performance of RTWSA’s Legal Panel on dispute matters referred
- Developing effective working relationships with Legal Panel providers to understand Scheme trends, impacts of case law and EML’s decision making and dispute management strategy
- Engagement with the South Australian Employment Tribunal
- Establishing effective mechanisms for providing technical feedback (including at an individual and team level), updates and learnings

**ABOUT YOU**
- Strong customer service skills.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Tertiary studies in Law is advantageous.
- Understanding of relevant South Australia workers compensation legislation is advantageous.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Best practice dispute resolution, negotiation and mediation.
- Capability to develop and support continuous improvement initiatives.
