**Lead BI Analyst (SQL, GCP, Tableau, Digital Studio / Looker Studio)**

**$150k - $155k base plus bonus plus super**

**Permanent Role**

One of Australia’s most well-known and well respected Retail and Tech businesses is hiring for a Lead BI Analyst ( SQL / Tableau / GCP ) to join their successful and growing team.

**About the role**

The Lead BI Analyst will drive analytical solutions to collaboratively support the Support & Marketing team across BAU activities, projects and ad-hoc insights requests.

This role will be part of a cross-functional squad and will be accountable to deliver ETL pipelines, data model design, accurate and automated reports and dashboards, BAU maintenance and ad-hoc analysis, unblocking the technical roadblocks.

Additionally, as part of the BI Chapter, this role would also be responsible for contributing to improvements to the BI chapter working framework, managing resource usage and supporting team members.

**How will success be measured?**

For squad: all deliverables are done in a timely manner with high accuracy and automation mindset, meeting high internal stakeholders' expectations

For chapter: ensure resource usage is managed effectively - improvements are proposed and implemented via POCs that scale up team efficiency - team members are supported to remove any blockers.

**Who we are looking for?**
We are looking for a Lead BI Analyst who is able to articulate ideas and deliver in a way that is clearly understood and achieves outcomes. This role will suit someone who is innovative and not content with the status quo, always looking for new ways to delight the internal customer.

**Requirements**:

- 6+ years of commercial experience working as a BI specialist, preferably in a retail or marketing context
- A degree in a quantitative area e.g. Computer Science/ Engineering, Actuarial, Maths / Statistics etc is preferred
- Represent information in a format designed to make explicit the value in the data, in an easily understandable and meaningful way for the audience
- Working experience & strong understanding of Data Warehouse concepts & design
- Experience in working in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Experience in leading, managing and mentoring junior analysts
- Experience in cloud environment GCP - BigQuery, Airflow, GCS
- Familiar with Bitbucket / Git
- 3 years+ experience in using a BI and data visualisation tools such as Data Studio/ Looker Studio, Tableau, MicroStrategy etc...
- Possess an automation mindset - know how to build ETL processes that can be automated. Having some experience using a scripting language such as Python to support automating tasks is highly valuable
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of data.
- Strong in building optimised SQL queries that can handle complicated calculations on top of a huge amount of data while taking minimum time and cost
