About the Role

**More specifically, your role will be**:

- Leading from the front and coaching our team of designers adapting your skills and experience to mentor and enhance their capability
- Identifying relevant and current design trends, fabrics and techniques
- Lead with creativity ensuring all designs are original and true to the brand strategy and tone
- Creating and presenting high quality and well-planned story, mood and colour boards and samples to the team to pitch design ideas visually and collaboratively providing direction to the collection
- Producing specification drawings of final design concepts, continually assessing quality and suitability; and resolving any design issues
- Sketching garments true to form, clearly depicting the product, specifications and all the construction details
- Signing off on all product descriptions for instore and online use to ensure the designs are accurately described
- Range planning and presentations to key business stakeholders
- Use creative design techniques and your extensive product knowledge to create garments that align to gross profit margin targets

What are we looking for?
- 5+ years’ experience in a fashion design role
- Proven experience leading a design team
- Experience bringing product designs to life aligning to brand and mission
- Someone who will challenge the status quo
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design or relevant field
- Ability to understand garment construction and fabrics that align
- High level of technical skills and extensive experience using Illustrator and Photoshop
